Foundation Curriculum

At Westover Primary School, we are commited to providing an interesting, broad and balanced curriculum for all of our pupils. We aim to create opportunities for children to explore exciting topics through all subjects in the National Curriculum.

Our curriculum is skills based and cross-curricular links are made accros the Core subjects: English, Maths, Science and Computing and the Foundation subjects: Art, Design Technology, Music, History, Geography, PE and Modern Foreign Languages (KS2 only). We also teach PSHE (personal, social and health education) and we follow Hampshire's Living Diiference Curricum for Religious Education.

Each topic includes a 'hook' to engage pupils and an event at the end of the topic to showcase and celebrate their learning. We enrich our curriculum through special topic days, visitors to the school and going on school trips.
