Dylan has been extremely busy. He has researched and produced a couple of projects: one based on the carrier pigeons of WW2 and the other on Isaac Newton as part of the science home learning. Well done Dylan, lots of fantastic research!
Finely (W) has created a remarkable non-chronological report on the War! I very much enjoyed reading about one of our most incredible leaders: Winston Churchill. I really enjoyed the illustrations that went alongside the text - in particular the Spitfire on the front page! Finley has really gone 'over and above', well done!
Some amazing project homework has been sent our way! Here are Alfie's (M), Erin's, Dylan's, Amy's and Joshua's incredible work. Alfie decided to make an incredible seascape with a huge amount of detail - especially on the sea floor with sand, pebbles and seaweed! Erin has created an Antarctic scene with penguins, seals and a polar bear - each one carefully and delicately crafted by hand! Dylan has gone for a beach scene with lovely blue waters, a bright shining sun and even a dolphin - I wonder if we will have dolphins in Southsea anytime soon now that our beach is looking rather exotic in the current circumstances! Did anyone notice the cheeky Corona bottle top too? Brilliant Dylan! Amy has also gone for an Antarctic feel with lots of happy penguins - even one that's fishing! Well done Amy! We've got a bit of a water theme going on here because Joshua's is also sea related! He has used a range of materials to produce an underwater/beach scene too. Well done! You have all gone 'over and above'! Please keep sending in your pictures of your projects and we will celebrate them for all to see on our Year 6 home learning webpage!
