Dear Year 2,
It has been a very unusual year for everyone. Who would have thought at the beginning of Year 2 you would be finishing it in such a different way to a normal school year.
Firstly I would like to say how proud I am of each and everyone of you!
You have all come so far, not only in your learning but as young, caring individuals who are always proving that you are thoughtful and respectful to others. You have all experienced so much in Year 2 both at school and at home this year. For you, and everyone in the world this year will be remembered as a part of our history. Now we need to work together for a beautiful and better future.
In September, you will be more knowledgeable, slightly taller and more adventurous, ready to take on new challenges with your new teacher.
Treasure each moment in school with your friends, teachers and your learning. I have no doubt that you will all grow up to be amazing individuals and inspire to get the most out of life.
For now Year 2, thank you for being you, always smiling and always ready to learn and grow!
I hope you have a lovely summer holiday, and good luck for Year 3.
Year 2 Picnic
Dear Year 2,
I would like to invite you to join me at Baffins Pond (near the park) for a small picnic at 12-2pm on Friday 17th July.
This picnic is not endorsed or organised by the school, it is simply an opportunity for Year 2 to say goodbye to me if they would like too as I'm not sure if I will be able to see them on transition day.
Please be aware as it is not endorsed by the school and it is outside of the school grounds please be responsible for your child (in regards to safeguarding) and their social distancing and please bring your own food and drink if you want to join the picnic.
I understand not everybody will be able to make it or have time to stay for a picnic but I really just wanted to make sure I gave Year 2 an option to say goodbye under all of these unusual circumstances this year.
I hope you are able to join me for a picnic or pass by to say 'hello' and 'goodbye'.
Thank you very much.
As always take care and stay safe.
