Meet the Governors
John Hare
John started off as a research scientist then HR management and eventually found his way into teaching chemistry some 20 years ago at secondary school level. His enthusiasm for education has continued with his links with Hamwic and Westover Primary School and particularly enjoys listening to students show how well they can read and encouraging them to like science!
In his spare time, he battles with a garden that needs ever more attention and has been a Morris Dancer for approaching 30 years.
Lucy Swales
Lucy is currently the Children & Families worker for City Life Church, in Baffins. Prior to that, she worked as a primary school teacher, in Portsmouth, for 10 years, teaching children from Reception up to Year 6.
