Week 3 in Penguins

September 19, 2025

This week we’ve been much more settled as routines have been established. Unfortunately, we’ve had lots of bugs flying around too, we hope everyone has a lovely restful weekend and feels much better next week.

In English, we have been learning about adjectives; their purpose and how they help describe and specify nouns in a sentence. This will lead to a setting description about the giant’s castle.

In Maths, we have been further exploring the value of each digit in a 2-digit number and learning how to write numbers as words as well as compare and order these in ascending and descending order.

Our afternoons have comprised of gymnastics; learning how to balance and jump, Science; where we identified things that are living, dead and have never been alive in our playground (and beyond!!) and in Geography we’ve continued looking at countries in the UK and their capital cities; learning facts about these.

Thank you for your support in reading records and homework- we have been blown away by the amount of homework handed in and really impressed with the sentences and maths work completed.

Have a lovely weekend.
