Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE)

Curriculum Intent

In accordance with our School Values of Kindness, Resilience, Resourcefulness and Creativity, we aim to deliver a PSHE curriculum which helps us to: support children’s development as human beings, enable them to understand the value of who they are, empower them to have a voice and to feel confident and equip them for life and for learning. A child’s wellbeing is at the centre of how they learn effectively.

With this in mind, our priority at Westover is to ensure we provide opportunities for children to express themselves safely and fully understand their own emotions. At Westover, we use the SCARF syllabus to help map our PSHE curriculum to ensure it aligns with our school values and statutory requirements.
