Week 4

September 25, 2025

This week has been lovely and we are really starting to feel Autumny in school. Please ensure your children still bring coats even if it looks sunny as it’s still quite cold outside.

We are so proud of the work your children have completed this week.

In English we’ve been using expanded noun phrases and the but conjunction to write a setting description. Also, our handwriting is really improving!! Thank you to those parents who have ensured homework is being completed too- any extra help with handwriting and spelling is much appreciated. Your children are getting really confident with using resources in the room to support them with this too.

In Maths, we have finished our place value unit. Your children are now able to identify and read 2-digit numbers. They can work out if they are odd or even and order on a numberline. Next week, we will begin adding and subtracting.

In Science, we’ve been out and about in the playground again searching for micro-habitats. Keep an eye out for future info regarding bringing in items to help build our own micro-habitats in the playground.

We are looking forward to our exit point coming up in a few weeks where you will get to see some of the amazing work they’ve been doing.
