What a half term! Your children have adapted incredibly to the challenging transition from Year R to Year 1. Thank you for all of your ongoing support.

This week, we have written some fantastic fact books using ‘did you know…’ questions about space. The children focused on ensuring they had capital letters and question marks whilst ensuring their handwriting was beautiful with letters sitting on the line and of appropriate size. We even drew pictures to go alongside.

Next half term, we will be looking at toys through history in history. If you have any toys that you or even your parents played with as children that we could show them as part of their learning, we would be very grateful if you could bring them in so we can show them or have discussions at home.

Now that routines and expectations are familiar, we are ready for the second half of the autumn term.

Just a reminder about reminding your children to hand in their reading records so that we can count up for star badges.
