Another great week in Penguin Class.

Your children are working really hard on their handwriting and remembering to apply this to their work, showing their pride in their presentation.

In English, we have learnt about expanded nouns phrases and different sentence types, then used these skills to write a school report for Rosie Revere.

In Maths, we have finished our graphs unit and moved into time. Please practise telling the time at home. In Year 2, we will be recapping o’clock and half past as well as teaching quarter past and quarter to. We will also be looking at telling the time in 5 minutes intervals.

In Science, we are looking at everyday materials and their suitability for different jobs.

Next week, we will be building flying machines and then writing instructions for Rosie Revere. We will also be starting to construct a stool in DT.

Lots of building, teamwork and resilience is needed. Hopefully we will all rise to the challenge.
