Week 4

March 20, 2026

What an amazing week!

We’ve been super busy with learning in school and then, to top it off, lots of us went to the Guildhall for a fantastic evening of singing and performing.

In English, we have been looking at simple and past progressive verbs in English, considering how a character is feeling and thinking, as well as using a range of sentence types. This is to build up skills ready to write our diaries next week in role as the caterpillar or frog.

In Maths, we’ve been working incredibly hard to add and subtract across a 10 number using regrouping. Please do support your child with their homework, hopefully the model at the top will help.

We have finished our Geography unit on hot and cold regions by looking at features of each region and what they would expect to see there. Please ask your children to name the continents and oceans.

On Tuesday evening, several of our class met at the Guildhall for our final performance of Bombay’s Adventures. This was a fantastic evening and it was lovely to see your children overcome any fears they had and perform with confidence and big smiles on their faces. The head of the music hub was so impressed with Westover that she gave us all a gift to take home. We hope your children enjoyed the evening as much as us and enjoy colouring in the Bombay mat. Please do check out the photos on the link below.
