Week 4

June 26, 2026

We’ve had a wonderful (and very warm!) week, and the children have coped brilliantly in the heat. They have enjoyed lots of Discover and Do activities to help keep them engaged throughout the day, alongside plenty of water play and refreshing ice lollies to stay cool.

One of the highlights of the week has been our exciting pirate adventure! We have been receiving “messages in a bottle” from stranded pirates, and each day the children have been eagerly writing replies to help guide them back home. This has created lots of excitement and enthusiasm in the classroom.

In our art sessions, we have been getting creative by making our own map paper. The children stained plain paper using tea bags to give it an aged, treasure-map look, and then followed instructions to draw their very own treasure maps.

We hope the children are looking forward to their transition day next week on Tuesday. On Monday, we will be doing lots of PSHE activities to help prepare them and support a smooth transition.

Have a lovely weekend and stay cool!
