Another hot week!
This week, we have been planning our first-person narratives based on Julian is a Mermaid. We have been thinking about the sequencing of our narratives, capitalising the pronoun ‘I’ and using ‘and’ to join clauses.
In maths, we have finalised our multiplication and division learning, looking at halving and quartering a whole. They have all absolutely smashed this, demonstrating their understanding as they go.
In PE, we have done some more preparation for Sports Morning next Thursday.
In PSHE, we looked at secrets vs surprises and what they need to do if their body tells them a secret is not okay.
We took RE outside as part of Sustainability Day, turning off the classroom lights and screens as we left to create freeze frames of the Jewish tradition ‘Shabbat’.
We finished off the week enjoying the dress rehearsal of the Year 6 play ‘Oliver with a Twist’. It was so lovely to watch them watch their buddies.
We have 8 school days to go! Please remember to send your children in with forms of sun protection to ensure they are protected in this heat, as well as water bottles!
Have a great weekend.
