This week we have been reading ‘All the way home’. Throughout the story we met some crazy characters. The children really enjoyed joining in with parts of the story and then creating their own map.
We have been focusing on creating repeated patterns and number 1 and 2. The children have all shown a strong interest in mathematical concepts this week.
We have continued to think about Harvest this week. This linked nicely onto creating a our pumpkin patch. Of course, we needed to make a scarecrow to keep those birds away.
The children have all shown an interest in puzzles over the past few weeks. We will continue to have these in provision as these are a great resource. We have observed the children using positional language, sharing, taking turns and suggesting where their friends should place their next piece.
Today we had a visit from a very friendly Policeman. He joined us for outside discover and do and we managed to get him to have a cheeky photo with us.
Next Thursday the school photographer will be in school. If your child doesn’t attend on a Thursday but you would like thier photo taken, then please contact the school office. There is usually space from 8-8.30.
Have a lovely weekend.
