We are in full swing creating all our wonderful Christmas creations. It was only right that we started the week by making snow. The children had such fun exploring the snow, it may have taken a few days to tidy up.
Our texts this week have been ‘The Jolly postman at Christmas’ and ‘A little bit of Winter.’ The children enjoyed delivering the letters to the numbers. Starfish were able to recognise numbers 1-5 and match the correct the envelope.
The children had a really good time setting up Santa’s grotto. We have been weighing and measuring presents. They have been really good at making labels for the gifts and sharing them with their friends. We then added a sleigh so we could deliver the presents.
Today we discussed winter and what we know about it. The children were really good at remembering hibernation and describing which animals hibernate. They are now all wishing for snow at Christmas.
Have a lovely weekend.
