This week, we have begun our new class text, ‘Look Up!’. We will continue to look at sentence building using colourful semantics to help us as we explore this ‘out of this world’ story about space and kindness.
In maths, we have continued our learning of addition and subtraction within 10, focusing on subtraction in particular. We have been using our star words: minus, take away, subtract, part and whole to help us form equations and stories with a subtraction focus.
In the afternoons, we have focused in on:
- using a mouse in computing
- feelings in PSHE
- leaflets about Baffins in geography
- rhythm in music
- animal comparison in science
- symbols in RE
- rolls in Pe (gymnastics)
- and hues in art
At the end of this half term, we plan to create habitat boxes in science. This is a plea for any cardboard boxes. We will collect as many as we can from our end, but will need a little help from you.
Again, please remember to return reading books on a Friday, ready for new books for a fresh, new week!
Enjoy your weekends,
Miss Hathway.
