Hi Penguins and Seals

We wanted to do a joint blog today to share how proud we are of the poems your children have created.

Year 2 have been innovating a poem based on ‘Witch, Witch’ by Rose Fyleman. We spent the week learning how to rhyme and use these words to create sentences. Then, today, we published these using our beautiful handwriting and performed them to our Year 3 friends.

Year 3 have been learning about onomatopoeia and similes and using these to create firework poems. Not only that but using exclamation sentences and adjectives to show how amazing the fireworks are.

Both classes enjoyed the time together and both Mrs Rutter and Miss Harman were really impressed with the work produced.
