Welcome back to the final half term of the year. We hope you all had a very lovely, sunny holiday.

Your children have had a great week getting back in to routine and starting brand new topics.

For the next few weeks, in English we are learning about George’s Marvelous medicine. This week, we have identified ingredients from around the house, created expanded noun phrases and used these with commas for lists to create sentences to make our own medicine for Grandma.

In Maths, we have become experts of 3D shape. We can all recognise faces, edges and vertices and use these to describe 3D shapes. We have also continued with our current numbersense booklet where we aim to achieve 40/40 on timestables within 2 minutes.

In Science, we planted some sunflower seeds which we hope to observe grow over the coming weeks. We will (hopefully) measure these and compare the heights.

We have started to use Scratch Jr in Computing where we will be programming the sprite to move and follow instructions.
