In Dolphins this week, we have been really pushing handwriting across all subjects and within two targeted sessions. We have have been checking our ‘Ps’: posture, pencil, paper and pressure and checking our ‘Ss’: shape, space, sitting and size. The resilience the class have shown has been AMAZING!
In English, we have created plans for our own narratives based on the story Lost and Found.
In Maths, we have been using Dienes, bead strings and 100 squares to help us represent a 2-digit number, recognise tens and ones and find one more, one fewer, ten more and ten fewer.
In Science and Geography we have been comparing different seasons, taking a real focus on spring (which has been lovely given the weather).
In Art, we explored the use of watercolours to create tones and light and dark colours when creating a landscape image of the sea.
The weather has made breaktimes and lunchtimes super fun, with great games and music!
Have a lovely weekend!
