This week, we have done lots of thoughtful and important learning.
We have been brilliant in our maths lessons in particular! We have worked super hard to add and subtract with regrouping, solve word problems, as well as creating fact families based on part-whole models.
In PSHE, we looked at the learning line and the importance of resilience and failing in order to learn a new skill. The class engaged in a fantastic conversation and drew pictures of themselves surrounded with words to show what they experienced when learning this new skill. We also made signs for our classroom to remind us to ‘never give up’.
In geography, we have been keeping a diary of the weather and temperature in spring.
In science, we have looked at daylight hour changes across the four seasons and twelve months of the year. We have had to learn songs to remind us of the difference between months and seasons as it’s so tricky to get a hold of!
Thank you to everyone who attended our exit point on Thursday where we took part in an ‘end of year’ quiz which tested us on all of our learning so far! It was very competitive but it was great to remind ourselves of all we have learnt thus far!
We hope you have a great weekend and the temperature picks up, and the sunshine reappears!
