Dolphins – Summer 1, Week 6

May 21, 2026

We are finally at the end of Summer 1 and only have one more half term left as Dolphins class before they move on to become Penguins.

This week, we transformed into lifeguards in geography where we thought about what weather would be the best and worst and how it would affect our job.

In PSHE, we learnt about receiving praise as well as feedback where we had a good understanding of why failing is a good thing, linking to our value of resilience.

In English, we wrote ‘How to Share’ guides for Pig the Pug to teach him how to share his toys. Today, every child successfully edited their writing through pupil conferencing. They showed outstanding resilience and listening skills.

We have also done lots of practice of arithmetic style maths questions to ensure our understanding of addition and subtraction is secure.

However, trumping all of this has been the excitement of the school disco!

We hope you have a lovely half term before the start of Summer 2!
