This week we have continued with ‘We’re going on a bear hunt.’ On Tuesday we found the keys to a jeep in the classroom, we used this as our code in our writing. Thankfully the bear understood our message as the keys have now gone. On Wednesday we noticed lots of bear print of the floor. We didn’t know why? So, we thought of a plan, we made lots of poster to tell the bear to come and see us. We showed these posters to Mr Upfield. He was really impressed with out writing.
This week we have continued to look at numbers. We now know how to make and represent numbers 1-9. When I ask the children how to make number 7 they are able to confidently share 5+2=7. Hopefully they can share this with you at home.
We now know 8 of our phase 3 diagraphs and trigraphs. This week we have looked at oo, oo, ar and or.
This week we started to think about the season winter. We walked around the outside area to look for signs of winter, we noticed the leaves had fallen off nearly all of the tress, there are some red berries growing for the birds and some early sign of new flowers.
We wondered what the birds eat during the winter. This led us to making bird feeders. It was a really messy job. They are now in the trees so hopefully the birds will find them and enjoy their tasty treat.
For one of our PE slots, we complete a yoga session. We are really good at following the instructions and trying to stretch our bodies. Here is the link if you wish to try it at home.
Have a lovely weekend. I wonder what we will go in search of next week?
