This week, Year 4 have engaged in some excellent learning!
In English, we have become volcano experts! We have researched and recorded information for our explanation texts about how volcanoes erupt. To support us, we have also looked at the simple, organisational devices used in explanation texts as well as the formal and technical vocabulary we need to include.
In maths, we have explored mixed numbers (a whole and a fractional part). We have estimated their placement on a number line and converted them to improper fractions (when the numerator is the same as the denominator or greater). We have also explored adding fractions where the denominator is the same.
In the afternoons, we have explored Boudicca’s rebellion in history, the roles of humans in food chains and more exciting learning.
This week, we did it! We got the 10/10 for kindness points! Miss Hathway and Mrs Lloyd are so proud!
