Starfish have had a fantastic first week back and settled into routine very quickly. This term we are looking at fairy tales, we started with reading ‘Little Red Riding Hood’ and had some activities based around the text, the children have designed their own red riding hood and made the big bad wold in play doh. In our groups this week we looked at naming different emotions, how these emotions affect us and what makes us feel that way. The children were very good at doing this and gave good reasoning. Other activities this week included Story doh and creating our own characters, practicing our cutting skills and counting spots on ladybirds and matching them to the right number.

We are looking forward to all the exciting events next week with Pancake day and World book day! Don’t forget to dress up as your favourite characters!
