What an exciting week we have all had in Dolphins Class!

On Wednesday, Dolphins did an amazing job at the Infant Voices Music Festival on Wednesday. We had the pleasure of performing alongside other schools and The Music Hub were all very impressed by our solo songs. We were super impressed and proud of their behaviour too! The children sang their socks off and we are all so incredibly proud of them!

This week we have also had the excitement of World Book Day. The children came in dressed as their favourite book characters and loved telling their friends and teachers all about their character! It was really lovely to see all of the getting involved and enjoying the day!

In English this week, we have begun our independent write where we have come up with our own versions of the Three Little Pigs. We spent time changing the characters and plot in order to make the story our own. We will continue this into next week. In Maths we have begun to look at units of measure, specifically measuring length in a non-standard form. The children have used their hands, paperclips, multilink and more to measure lots of objects around the school.

In your child’s homework folder, you will find some more tricky words: once, because, laugh, eye. Please practise these when you can as it helps with spellings in their writing! There is also some writing homework for your child to complete.
