Half way through the half term and we are smashing it!

This week, we have been publishing our character descriptions into playable top trump cards. The children have focused incredibly on their handwriting, ensuring it is joined and legible. It is always lovely to see the children take so much pride in their work.

In maths, we have continued our decimals unit looking at quarter and half equivalents of fractions and decimals as well as multiplying and dividing by 10. The children have been fantastic at using our star words in their reasoning and ensuring they are saying ‘tenths’ and ‘hundredths’ rather than ‘tens’ and ‘hundreds’ to demonstrate their understanding of place value.

Our daily number sense and MTC practice is demonstrating some brilliant scores, which the children should be so proud of! Please could we push the use of TTRS at home. We are giving out house points to those logging on and playing every day with a battle against another class in the works!

Next week is assessment week where we will complete a maths paper, reading paper and SPaG paper.
