Spring 2 Week 6

April 4, 2025

It’s the end of the term and what a term we’ve had!

In this final week, Year 4 have written non-chronological reports about a mysterious fruit or vegetable that turns into a mythical creature! Using the conventions of a non-chronological report as well as Year 4 writing skills, they have produced some extremely informative texts!

In Maths, we have finished our learning of area and perimeter where we have used lots of concrete resources to conceptualise our understandings. We have even implemented our multiplication facts when finding the area of rectangles!

In the afternoons, we have consolidated our learning of states of matter, land use, rights and respect, data logging, french weather and so much more. We watched ‘How To Train Your Dragon’ as a little treat after all of our hard work in our writing and reading lessons based on the Cressida Cowell novel.

There is no homework over half term but please encourage your children to play TTRS as our multiplication check fast approaches!

A reminder to return forms for our DT unit.

Finally, have a lovely Easter holiday. We look forward to seeing all of your smiley faces when we return!
