Seals have been finishing up on their time topic in Maths. Check with them if they can solve any word problems, such as “If I put cakes into the oven and they take 70 minutes, what time do they need to be taken out of the oven?”

Thank you to all of you who came to parents’ evening over the last two weeks; it was really good to touch base with you.

The trip to Testwood Lake was great fun. We were blessed with good weather, which helped, and the river wasn’t flooding, like it was last year! The trip organisers were impressed that they all knew the technical vocabulary (meander, tributary, estuary etc). Thank you to all of the children for making it a great day for us too, and thank to you Iustin and Alani’s mums for their help on the day.

Seals finished their end of term tests last week. We were impressed with their scores, showing how much their hard work counts.

We have been enjoying Flotsam, our new book, a picture book with no words. We are looking forward to writing an exciting short story next week about fantastic underwater worlds.
