We started the week with the arrival of the giant beanstalk in the classroom. Pufferfish were very excited. I am a little surprised that nobody has tried to climb it.
We took the opportunity to write on leaves to Jack to ask him some questions. The children wanted to know what he would liked to eat? Did he like the bread and jam from the giantess? Plus question such as, would he like to come and play with us? I wonder what will happen next week?
In maths we have been demonstrating with confidence our ability to use the part part whole model. This is something that has already been taught. When describing the part part whole model the children identify two numbers that when combined make a whole new number.
Thank you for all your hard work and time spent reading with your children at home. I have seen a huge spike in confidence over the past few weeks, it has been wonderful to watch.
