Summer 1 Week 4

May 16, 2025

Summer 1 week 4.

The giant has been very busy this week. At the beginning of the week we found his shoe in our room. This prompted the class to write to the giant. The giant then

wrote a letter back suggesting that he would like to come and play. Finally, today we found a giant t-shirt in our room. We took the t-shirt around the school to investigate who it belonged to. We discovered that the t-shirt was far to big for anyone at school, so it must belong to the giant.

In maths we have been working really hard on understanding the composition of numbers from 15-20. We have been able to represent numbers using numicon, tens frame and Rekenreks, (these look like a mini abacus.) Pufferfish are able to identify how many 10’s and 1’s are in these numbers. This is a exceptional skill to master as we start to move closer to the end of the year.

This week we started to draw our self-portraits. We will continue to do this at the exit point on Tuesday.

Have a lovely weekend.
