Summer 1 week 5
Somebody paid us a little visit this week, they left oats around the room as our first clue. A parcel arrived at the classroom, there was a book, milk and more oats. We finally discovered that it was in fact a gift from Goldilocks. Together we read Goldilocks and the three bears. We decided that going into the bears house uninvited was not the right choice. We followed a recipe to make porridge and then had a go ourselves. We were able to write character descriptions of Goldilocks and a wanted poster. We hope we find her.
To help Goldilocks, we created maps of the classroom, we thought carefully what ‘birds eye view’ means and how things look from up above.
Thank you so much to all of you who were able to attend the exit point, it was lovely to see the children working so hard with you. I hope you are all very proud of their achievements.
In maths we have continued to look at one more and one fewer, this time with numbers 11-20.
Our next exit point will be sports day. I hope to see lots of you there.
Have a lovely half term. We will start Summer term 2 with the theme ‘Under the sea’.
