What a week!! We’ve had such gorgeous temperatures however it does make our classrooms very hot! Please ensure that your child has a hat, sun cream on and they MUST have a water bottle. These can be refreshed during the day.
In English, we’ve been writing our letters to the Bear to advise him to go to the city using apostrophe words and conjunctions. We are moving on identifying expanded noun phrases and then writing a setting description.
In Maths, we have finished our Money unit by combining coins to make different amounts and using our addition and subtraction knowledge to problem solve.
In Science, we used our food diaries to identify the different food groups then then used this knowledge to recommend ways to improve our diets. We will then move into the importance of exercise by designing activities.
In singing assembly we have had a beach/sea theme and learned actions to the Weller Man sea shanty as well as learnt a new song to a familiar tune. The link is below by request of the children…enjoy!
