It’s been another great week in Penguins, finishing off with a disco and non-uniform day! Thank you very much for your donations!! I promise all the chocolate made it to the PTA ready for our Christmas fayre!!

In English this week we went down in the basement to immerse ourselves in our new text ‘The Dark’ where Laszlo finds himself in the basement with the dark and how he overcomes his fear of the dark. We have since written a setting description, some of which can be found on our WOW work wall.

In Maths, we have started exploring division as the inverse to multiplication. This involves sharing or grouping and we’ve worked hard to explore this and understand the difference.

Next week, we have assessment week…or little quizzes as we will tell the children.

In Science, we used our knowledge of habitats to create a collage and then explain what we put in there and why using our knowledge of the basic needs for survival.
