Week 4

May 16, 2025

Another jam packed week in Penguins!

In English, we’ve been planning, writing and publishing some newspaper reports about the Bear in the Piano. Some children have moved into joining their letters in English and they were particularly proud of their presentation.

In Maths, we’ve been looking at patterns using 2D and 3D shapes as well as using position and directional language to describe movement- linking to PE as well where we’ve been giving each other clear directions to travel across the space.

In History, we welcomed Brian Masters from the RNLI to lead a workshop about Grace Darling. He even brought some artifacts that would’ve been used on boats during the 1800s. Next week, Brian will be coming back to teach us about the RNLI and the significance of Grace Darling in the setting up of the RNLI and how it keeps us safe nowadays.

4 more days!!!
