Week 6 in Penguins

February 13, 2025

Happy last day!!

We’ve had a super busy week, finishing up all the current units ready to start afresh after half term.

We’ve written danger posters in English to warn Billy about the monsters int he woods in The Minpins. We’ve worked EXTREMELY hard in Maths to tell the time to the nearest 5 minutes and use this knowledge to work out duration. Over the half term, it would be amazing if you could use every opportunity to practise telling the time on an analogue and digital clock.

On Wednesday we enjoyed our exit point, thank you to all who attended. I think you’ll agree that your children are amazing and it was lovely to see them proudly showcasing their learning.

On Thursday, we had Caterlink come to school to deliver a workshop on table manners and cutting skills. Even Miss Harman learned something new!

Today we said goodbye to Miss McKay who has now finished her placement at Westover. We’ve loved having an extra adult in the classroom. We will really miss her and wish her well in the future.

Every child is coming home this holiday with a list of spelling words that we’ve been working on this half term. We will be having a spelling test every week with a combination of these words and others so please encourage your child to practise these.

I hope you have a lovely half term.
