Another super productive week for Seals! We have been learning about equivalent fractions in our Maths. The children have been using fraction strips to identify equivalence, eg. 1/2 = 5/10 = 3/6 = 4/8 etc
In English we have been writing persuasive leaflets about holidays to South Africa. They have done such a good job that we are now all desperate to visit! These have been inspired by our class text, Morpurgo’s Butterfly Lion, which the children are thoroughly enjoying reading as a class.
In History we have continued to explore Tudor England. This week we have had a closer look at how Henry brought in the Church of England so that he could divorce his first wife. We have produced posters about Henry’s favourite of his six wives, Jane Seymour, wife number three, who sadly died after giving birth to Henry’s only son.
In RE we are learning about the importance of the bible to Christianity.
We are excited about a new trip to Tuppenny Barn to support our Science learning. You will have received an email today about how we have secured a grant from South Downs National Park for £750. This covers the majority of costs.
Enjoy the sunny weekend!
