This week has seen us finishing our Maths unit of place value with ordering, comparing and rounding 6 digit numbers as well as recapping Roman Numerals which the children were introduced to in Year 4. Next week, we start addition and subtraction!

In English, we have planned and started writing our first independent long write of the year – the focus has mainly been on ensuring the basics are embedded (capital letters, full stops and commas after fronted adverbials). As well as this, we have also been including positive, formal vocabulary such as expansive, substantial, well-established etc in order to persuade people to purchase our home.

On Tuesday, in Science with Mrs Leslie, we used scales and Newton Metres to measure and compare the difference between Mass and Weight.

Today, in PE when learning netball, we started to play some small-sided games where we were able to use the three passes which we are now all experts at!
