Spring 1 Week 5

February 7, 2025

What another bumper week! With it being children’s mental health and well-being week, we have taken part in different activities that have enabled us to grow. On Tuesday, as opposed to an outdoor activity, we had our usual swimming lesson; on Wednesday, we learnt how to do origami (have the choice of heart, fox, rabbit or frog – some of which were easier than others!); on Thursday, we took part in a half hour session of Boogie Bounce (it doesn’t sound like a long time, but believe me, half hour is all you need!) and a therapeutic art session in the afternoon. A quote from SP at the end of Boogie Bounce: “My actual legs are dead after that.”

We finally did it! All homework books were brought in so, as promised, we had an extra break time – which ended up being bench ball in the hall – as a reward!

As we go into the final week, we have almost completed our independent writes which is a newspaper. When drafted, we will then publish these so they look like a newspaper. In Maths, we have completed our Fractions B unit, and we now move into Decimals and Percentages.
