What a lovely week back we have had in Year 6! It is so lovely to see that the children are going back to previous learning and so eager to learn more.
After starting our book – Goodnight Mister Tom – the children are thoroughly engaged in our unit of war, asking questions, finding out for themselves and learning lots of new vocabulary. We have learnt some new skills, including colons, to apply to our English writing.
In Maths, we have completed our decimals unit. This week we looked at multiplying and dividing decimals, then applied this to some more complex word problems.
We had some great fun in netball on Wednesday, practising new passing techniques and learning how to intercept the ball. We definitely have some competitive players!
